A Bramblewood Lane resident called police at 10:59 a.m. March 10 after a man and a boy knocked on her door and started asking about her feelings on the Chardon High School shootings. She said they would not identify themselves or what they were doing. Police said the duo were with a group of Jehovah’s Witnesses 🙂

Resident reported someone ringing all of the door bells in the building in an effort to gain entry. Officer located two subjects who are Jehovah Witnesses wanting to pass their message on to residents. Officer suggested they leave a notice with a call back number for anyone in the building that may be interested in speaking with them.

Two women dressed in all black clothing, including black coats, knocked on the door of a home on the 200 block of S. Waiola Avenue on the morning of Jan. 25 and requested a chance to come in because of the cold.

The resident reported the women, who police tracked down the block. The women were Jehovah’s Witnesses.

• Someone used a large sledgehammer with a yellow fiberglass handle to smash the front passenger window of a Toyota Sienna parked Tuesday in the 1700 block of East Wheat Road. The suspect took a black leather briefcase containing Jehovah’s Witnesses literature and a Bible.

Police Blotter: Jehovah’s Witnesses Told They are Solicitors.

Ohio – A Parker Drive woman called police at 10:19 a.m. Sept. 22 that Jehovah’s Witnesses would not honor her “no soliciting” sign. They told her that they are not soliciting. Police told the suspects that they were soliciting and need to comply with the sign.


Ruling on a case brought by the New York-based Jehovah’s Witnesses, the court said Monday that the Constitution protects the right of missionaries to go door-to-door preaching without first getting permission from local governments.

At 2:33 p.m., a caller complained about a person who came to the door with a religious message. Police investigated and asked the person, a Jehovah’s Witness, to check in at the police station when in town.

with children were in the area, ringing doorbells. Police
determined the suspects to be Jehovah’s Witnesses.

A white van doing up and down Bowman Drive, with the occupants stopping in driveways and knocking on doors, aroused suspicion Aug. 13.

Police spoke with the owner of the van, who said he and his fellow Jehovah’s Witnesses were just out sharing their beliefs.

10:27 a.m. A Bedford Road resident called police to report that two males were going door-to-door selling magazines, possibly without a permit ( one wonders who made that suggestion ). Officers made contact with the individuals who turned out to be Jehovah’s Witnesses. No summonses were issued.
